These are the terms ("Terms") under which MacroPilot ("the app," "we," "us") is provided. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app is provided by Nick Cash ("Operator"), reachable at support@macro-pilot.com.
MacroPilot is a meal-planning app that: 1. Computes daily calorie and macronutrient (protein / fat / carbs) targets based on the personal data you enter (age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal). 2. Builds a 7-day meal plan from a curated library of recipes, biased toward meeting those targets. 3. Aggregates the recipes' ingredients into a grocery list and (optionally) prices it against a Kroger banner store you choose.
This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it.
MacroPilot is a planning tool, not a clinical product. The targets we compute are based on widely-published formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor BMR calculation, standard macronutrient ratios) and our own opinionated rules. They are not personalized medical or nutritional advice.
Before making significant changes to your diet — and especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an eating disorder, or are under 18 — consult a qualified health-care provider.
If you experience adverse health effects, stop using the app and seek medical attention.
You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroPilot. By creating an account you confirm you meet this minimum age.
Each account corresponds to one user. Don't share accounts.
You agree NOT to: - Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the apps - Use automated tools to register accounts in bulk - Attempt to access another user's account - Probe, scan, or test the security of our systems without prior written permission - Use the service for any illegal purpose
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without notice.
The recipe library inside MacroPilot is sourced from publicly available third-party publishers (Skinnytaste, Budget Bytes, Eating Bird Food, others). Per our recipe-licensing rule: - We store only the recipe name, ingredients, macronutrient values, and a link back to the publisher's site. - We do not store cooking instructions, prose, or any copyrighted body text. - Tapping a recipe in the app opens the publisher's site in your browser, so you read their instructions in their context.
If you're a publisher and want your recipes removed from the app, email support@macro-pilot.com with the URL(s) and we'll remove them within 5 business days.
When you choose a Kroger banner store, we query the Kroger Developer API to fetch prices for the ingredients in our recipe library. Prices are shown as informational guidance.
When you register, we send a verification email so we can confirm you own the address. We may also send transactional emails (password resets, account notices) when relevant. We do not send marketing email.
The current MacroPilot beta is free. If we introduce paid features, we'll update these Terms and notify you in-app and by email at least 14 days before any charge.
The MacroPilot app, brand, design, and source code are owned by the Operator. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose. You don't get any other rights.
You retain ownership of any data you put into the app (your profile, your recipe feedback, etc.). By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process that data only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations; in those places the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted.
You can delete your account at any time (Settings → Personal info → Delete account). When you do, your data is permanently removed per the Privacy Policy.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms. We'll give you advance notice when practical.
If we materially change these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved by negotiation will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and you consent to that venue.
